Introduction and origins : culture
The farm, extended of nearly 100 acres, surrounded by woods and arable land, belonged to
Sisti’s family for a long time, who, over the years, from generation, to generation, has expanded the property with the acquisition of additional land.
After generations of farming the old family property, the du bourdei, Alessandro and Federica, we decided to restore the century old house and make it the symbol of our family of origin, in memory of the noble past and focus of an intense and passionate cultural activity. That's why my family and I decided to make the old farmhouse, located in Cà Marchino, the heart of our farm for several generations, our holiday farm Dai du bourdei, as we decided to call it, in memory of our beloved father, the main character of the book Du bourdei a cavallo degli anni Trenta that tells the story of himself as a child, in the background of these beautiful hills. The book, a symbol of our holiday farm, is a delicate and intimate hymn to the homeland, an ode to a friendly nature, an ode to its story and to the memory of the past, a hymn to the historical memory. Along with the book, which I myself have taken care in reviewing and printing, the idea of Dai du bourdei was born, whose highest aspiration is to offer spiritual refreshment even for those who want to live a quiet moment abandoning to the simplicity of a pristine environment, the cradle of mind and comfort of the body . The culture is indeed the pivot of the owner of the holiday farm Dai du bourdei.
Let me introduce myself ... my name is Federica . I’m a primary school teacher. I love to teach children, but also adults. I’m always hungry for knowledge, I love to read and to write. I like writing poetry, essays on pedagogy and didactics, and fiction books . I’m an expert in teaching autobiography, I design and make reading and creative writing courses, in schools and universities. I particularly like the combination of culture and nature, maximally convinced of the great evocative power that the nature reflects on the human soul and how the vision of a beautiful landscape can capture the most beautiful emotions, the deepest thoughts and the sweetest visions.
